My journey in bodywork began one day in 2006 when I woke up with a bad cramp in my calf which did not go away on its own. This was a new experience for me given I was already quite knowledgeable about the body having trained for 10 years as a ballet dancer. After 5 straight days of the cramping, I simply gave up and finally asked for help. My friend handed me a business card of a massage therapist to which I was immediately doubtful since I had always viewed the idea of massage therapy as a way of providing relaxation and not for treating injury.

My first professional massage was from a 60-year-old woman who instead of working directly on my calf began working on my lower back and hips. When I got up from the table, all of the pain in my calf was gone. After multiple session, I felt a new balanced sensation in my body which gave me a newfound peace in my body and mind. This transformation started my continuing fascination with the human body and all the bodywork modalities.

In 2010, I founded Teva Massage based on the primary goal to restore the body’s natural ability to move freely and in the absence of pain.  My goal and philosophy is to provide you the tools and expertise to understand your body and find solutions to any issues you are currently facing. I am always seeking new and better ways to restore the human body so I can provide my patients what they need to stay on their path to a healthier body.

I am a licensed Massage Therapist specializing in Sports and Orthopedic Massage. Being well-versed in the Eastern and Western philosophies, I offer a multi-dimensional approach to any issue which has a proven track record for being very effective with treating acute/chronic pains and injuries. I received my diploma from Swedish Institute College of Health Care and completed Advanced Certificates in Orthopedic Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Thai Massage, Sport Massage, NeuroKinetic Therapy, and advanced studies of anatomy/kinesiology/neurology at Immaculate Dissection.

In addition to massage, I received a Master of Science in Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and am the founder of ArTeva Acupuncture (website). ArTeva Acupuncture specializes in the treatment of pain, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders using the most effective techniques of traditional and contemporary acupuncture within the context of a western orthopedic and sports medicine framework.
